Launchip Silicon Capacitors Successfully Pass AEC-Q200 Automotive-Grade Reliability Qualification
On May 26, Launchip's flagship silicon-based passive device product, the 3D Silicon Capacitor, successfully passed the AEC-Q200 automotive-grade reliability qualification with the support of CTI (Centre Testing International Group). As the company's first product to achieve automotive-grade certification, this milestone demonstrates that Launchip's product quality has been recognized by an internationally authoritative qualification system and meets the high-reliability standards widely accepted by the global automotive electronics industry. This achievement marks Launchip's entry into the leading tier of automotive-grade silicon-based passive device suppliers.
Product Overview
Launchip's automotive-grade 3D silicon capacitors are manufactured using semiconductor fabrication processes, with silicon as the substrate and high-k (HK) materials as the dielectric layer.
Compared with conventional multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), they offer significant advantages including compact size, ultra-thin profile, low impedance, low insertion loss at high frequencies, excellent temperature stability, and outstanding reliability.
These devices are suitable for DC blocking, RF bypass applications, and fixed-capacitance tuning elements in filters, oscillators, and matching networks.
They are widely used in power distribution networks, aerospace systems, communications equipment, energy infrastructure, industrial automation, and medical electronics.
The product features a 49-terminal structure, capacitance density of 2 μF/mm², and ESL below 2.9 pH, ensuring exceptional capacitance stability across the full operating voltage and temperature range.
